Changelog
What shipped.
Gauge is built against a working shop, so every release comes from something that was slowing a floor down. The recent highlights, newest first.
- A new shop floor app: one queue for work order steps, builds, maintenance, 3D print jobs and shipments, with tablet and phone layouts.
- A running timer in the header, so a job left on the clock can be found and stopped from any page.
- The Knowledge Base, rebuilt: a page tree with covers, tables and inline images.
- Project BOMs are a tree you can build, cost and release, and a BOM with parent and child structure imports straight into it.
- Every part in a project holds its own drawings and files, and they carry over when a placeholder part becomes an item.
- Materials: import a supplier spreadsheet, then keep your own vendors, price breaks and stock sizes on each material.
- Operators can post on the job from the floor, and a floor-only login opens straight to the floor.
- A DXF attached to an item yields its flat profile and a picture of the part.
- Routings import from a spreadsheet with a preview first, and a live work order’s routing can be edited.
- Key permissions are enforced by the database rules, not only by hiding a button.
- Finishing a work order posts the finished stock.
- A job can be created without a sales order, for make-to-stock and internal work.
- An engineering change shows what it affects.
- Work orders know how long they take, the schedule board can plan back from a due date, and standard cost rolls up from materials and labor.
